These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cart AI mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Royal Labs LLC ("Royal Labs", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Cart AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Cart AI is a shopping and budget-tracking app that helps you keep a running total as you shop, scan price tags using on-device AI, build shopping lists, set budgets and savings goals, and view insights about your spending. The Service includes features such as Multi-Shot scanning, Adjust Cart with AI, Travel Mode currency conversion, shopping lists, insights, and achievements.

Cart AI is a budgeting and estimation tool. It is not financial, accounting, or investment advice, and it does not track your full financial life.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using Cart AI, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of the data you create in the Service, including your trips, items, lists, budgets, and goals ("Your Content"). The app stores Your Content on your device and, where enabled, syncs it to our backend so you can back up and restore it across devices.

You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, back up, and sync Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. AI Features and Accuracy

Cart AI uses on-device artificial intelligence (including Apple's Vision and Foundation Models frameworks) to read price tags and structure shopping data. AI-generated results — including prices, item names, totals, currency conversions, and suggestions such as "Adjust Cart with AI" — may be inaccurate or incomplete.

You are solely responsible for verifying prices, totals, and any decisions you make. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI output, currency conversion, or estimate, and you should always confirm actual prices at the point of sale.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription ("Cart AI Pro"). Subscriptions are sold and processed through the Apple App Store and managed with RevenueCat.

  • Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

  • Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

  • Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID / App Store settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

  • Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law;

  • interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or our backend;

  • use automated means to access the Service in a way that burdens our infrastructure;

  • upload malicious code or content that infringes the rights of others; or

  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Royal Labs LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services, including Apple (App Store, payments, on-device frameworks, SKAdNetwork), RevenueCat (subscription management), and analytics, attribution, and cloud-hosting providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Notifications

With your permission, the Service may send push notifications and reminders (for example, trial reminders). You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS, TOTALS, OR CONVERSIONS WILL BE ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROYAL LABS LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR SAVINGS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Royal Labs LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local mandatory consumer-protection laws apply to you.
